Native Seed Collection workshop – West Glacier

Tuesday, July 21 – 11 am to 12 pm

Presented by Mark Majerus, a native plant enthusiast who worked as a botanist/agronomist, retiring from the Bridger Plant Materials Center. The workshop will emphasize stages of seed development in grasses, forbs, and shrubs.  Mark will show us diagnostic techniques (when to harvest vs. wait) and seed harvest techniques (how to harvest), as well as how to handle, dry, thresh & condition harvested seed.

Bring fingernail clippers, a hand lens, and an inquisitive mind.
