Yeager Flats – Choteau
Yeager Flats – Choteau
Wednesday, July 8 – 8 am to 3 pm
Dave Shea and Rachel Potter will lead participants through a limber pine savannah, cottonwood groves, sagebrush and an old burn, before ending in a vast, high-elevation native fescue prairie near the base of Ear Mountain on the Rocky Mountain Front. We should see bitterroot, and if our stars are aligned, they’ll be in bloom, as well as plenty of other wildflowers.
It’s a 5-mile round-trip with 1,000 feet of elevation gain. Contact Rachel Potter for more details and to sign up at jrepotter@gmail.com.
Rachel and her family will be camping at the Cave Mountain Campground before and after the trip. Join us!
