Columbia Falls – Bumble Bee Atlas Training

To kick off Bumble Bee Atlas field season, join Michelle Toshack of the Montana Bumblebee Atlas, and Tabitha Graves of USGS, for the Columbia Falls field day only about 10 minutes outside of town.  We will practice catching, photographing, and releasing bumble bees.

This is a great way to practice the protocol if you’re a new volunteer, or if you want a refresher. Participating in the atlas program is fun and a great way to learn more about interactions between native plants and these incredible animals.

Register for the event here: bumblebeeatlas.org/pages/events. We’ll meet at the Super 1 Foods in Columbia Falls.

Contact Tabitha Graves at 406-589-6645 or tgraves@usgs.gov with questions.
