MNPS Grant Application 2026

The Montana Native Plant Society Grant Program provides funding to projects that stimulate research, conservation, and educational activities that help foster an appreciation for Montana’s native plants and plant communities. These grants are intended to promote native plant conservation through better understanding of our native flora and the factors affecting their survival.

Describe your project objectives, methods, final product and dissemination of results. LIMIT 1,000 WORDS.

For projects that include an education component, upload a description of age groups & numbers of target audience; your advisor or lead educator’s experience and expertise; the expected lifespan of product; and outreach, maintenance & revision plans, if applicable. LIMIT 500 WORDS.

For projects involving a native plant garden or restoration project, upload a description of your project’s short- and long-term maintenance plan, types of plant materials and sourcing, and your project advisor or lead planner’s expertise and experience. (Lists may be added as appendices in File Uploads section) LIMIT 500 WORDS.

Upload budget showing amount requested from MNPS, other funding sources & amounts, and how the funds will be used (e.g. personnel, travel, supplies & equipment, printing, etc). To avoid system error, ONLY attempt to upload accepted file types (pdf, xls, xlsx)
