We just elected officers for 2025/2026. Now we’re planning activities for this winter & spring. So far, here’s what’s coming up:
- Saturday, November 15 – We’re having a Seed Swap at the Billings Public Library from 11 am to 1 pm. This will take the place of a November meeting. Everyone should bring snacks to share.
- Monday, December 8 – The December meeting will also happen at the Billings Public Library from 5 pm to 6 pm. The agenda will be available after the seed swap.
Field Trips
For the most current activities, see our Facebook page.
In March 2025, we partnered with the Montana Audubon Center in Billings to hold a Native Plant Symposium, called From Seeds to Science: Connecting Native Plants, Citizen Science and Stewardship. We’re trying to empower individuals to take meaningful conservation action, whether by enhancing personal spaces with native plants or contributing to citizen science initiatives. We had a full house of 50 participants, and 30 people took part in workshops.
For 2026, we’re considering holding the symposium at a larger venue and shifting the event to August to allow for more hands-on field workshops.
