This is a moderate-to-strenuous\, 3.6-mile-round-trip hike. \nThe trail starts in a mixed conifer forest and gains about 700 feet in 1.3 miles. From there\, we go off trail\, down an open ridge to a meadow filled with balsamroot\, lupine\, and the sensitive Small Onion. \nWe will start hiking by 10 am\, return to the trailhead by 4 pm\, returning to Hamilton by 6 pm. Bring sunscreen\, tick repellent\, food & water\, and dress for the weather. Due to the small trailhead parking area\, only 2 cars will fit\, so only 8 people can sign up. RSVP to Deborah Goslin at 406-214-7879. \n
