DESCRIPTION:Prairie Peace Garden self-guided tour – SE of Townsend\nSaturday\, August 8 – 11 am to 4 pm\nCome see Bryan Flynn’s Private Stock Peonies (aka Prairie Peace Garden)\, a few miles southeast of Townsend. Bryan has created an ever-expanding number of native grass and forb strips in various stages of development\, as well as a 750-square-foot xeriscape rock garden. See a broad variety of native plants at different stages of seasonal development. \nBryan will be on hand to chat with visitors\, and handouts describing native gardening will be available. Picnickers are welcome — there are a number of comfortable garden benches with backs and tables on the premises. He’ll have plants for sale\, as available. You’ll be asked to sign a liability waiver as you enter the premises. \nDirections to the site can be found on Bryan’s website\, listed below.
