SUMMARY:"The Little Things that Run the World" film - Missoula
DESCRIPTION:Free\, on Tuesday\, April 14\, from 7 to 8:30 pm\non campus in the University Theater on the 3rd floor of the University Center\nafter the day’s “Plants\,  Conservation & Fire” conference\nInsects\, the tiny\, alien-like architects of life\, sustain ecosystems and ultimately\, our own survival. As these distant cousins on our evolutionary tree face unprecedented declines\, their fate becomes a stark warning: without them\, neither we nor the planet can endure. \nIn this captivating documentary\, filmmakers Dru Carr and Doug Hawes-Davis focus their lens on this most numerous group of animals\, three quarters of all species on earth. The film documents the mysteries of the decline alongside creative and heroic efforts to change the course. What is causing this extinction crisis? What can be done to reverse the trend?
